Drywall over open beam ceiling and venting

I have a home that has open beam ceilings and part of the home (living room & kitchen) had the ceiling covered by drywall by previous owner. The kitchen and living room ceiling is divided by a center beam that goes along the house as the middle of the gable roof. The living room portion seems to be vented with soffit vents on the outside wall. The kitchen expands into a room addition, and so don't see any vents on that side (addition has different roof structure, I saw no venting to the additions attic. I don't think the center beam along the gable has holes to pass ventilation between the kitchen and living room ceiling.

I don't know if the drywalled ceiling is insulated or not with any moisture barrier, w/o taking down the drywall.

I was just wondering in case ceiling wasn't insulated or vented (kitchen area), how bad could it be? If any problems, would you only notice problem when removing the drywall or doing a reroof seeing issues on top at the roofing side? Or would the problem manifest itself visibly on the drywall ceiling over time?

I live in northern California, and the drywalled ceiling is several years old, perhaps up to 10 years, but not sure.

Drywall over open beam ceiling and venting

Here's some photos I have on hand that I kept from home listing online when I bought the house. A bit low res but should be good enough.

Drywall over open beam ceiling and venting

Also, I think the garage is also open beam but previous own installed drywall over it to create a flat ceiling (not an angled ceiling) and I see no venting along the walls or roof of the garage. That ok or a problem? Can't confirm any issues or whether there's insulation w/o removal of drywall ceilings.
