Drywall Estimate - ATLANTA
Hello - I am currently finishing my basement and have decided to contract out the drywall hanging and finishing. I live in Atlanta and a 4x8 1/2 piece of rock is around $7.30. I am trying to determine a good estimate for hanging and finishing. I have heard anywhere from $20 on the low side to $30/sheet (supplying the material, hanging and finishing) My project is around 110 4x8 sheets. (about 1000sf iplus ceilings)

Thanks is advance.

Judging your location and what you pay for an 8 footer I would think even 30 would be on the low side.

I usually charge about $35 per sheet for basic hanging and finishing. Properly mudding, taping, and sanding drywall is the key to a nice paint job. I may be able to do a little better the $7.30 per sheet. Let me know if I can help you.

wow at 30 per sheet by 110 sheets that comes up on the cheap side definitely, different area though.

Always get three estimates from Atlanta drywall contractors
If you're looking for an estimate, I'd suggest contacting several and ask if they give free estimates. When working with contractors, it's recommended to always get at least three estimates before hiring one to do the job. If you're on a tight budget, let your contractor know that upfront. If he isn't willing to work with you to find products that fit your needs, keep looking until you find one who will.

Look at the date. I'm guessing this guy already has this done.

Good catch! You can also just hit the red "exclamation point" and a Mod. can help remove the ad.

Thanks, Gary
