Drastically Different Drywall Quote -PHOTO-

hello

You are talking about adding approx. 20 4x8 and then all the tapping.....

The $500 quote seems quite low to me wonder how the guy make a living.... as exculde all the material cost you are talking about making approx $200 bucks or less....

the $1000 bucks seems reasonable

the $1250 bucks seems still reasonable but just more room for the guy

Thanks for the quick reply. The guy who quotes $1,000 seemed to be the most thorough and ask the most questions.

He looked in every corner and noticed some framing that I did that was a little off, and a couple other things I did that might need sanding down.

Looks like I'll be going with him.

Thanks!

This is what usually sells a job from a contractor's perspective. A professional will give the homeowner a "good vibe" and make them feel like he knows what he is doing and the job will be done right. I would go with this guy as well.
BTW, did any of them offer proof of insurance, licences, portfolios, or a list of previous satisfied customers?

I have to say though... good skillful worker normally have characters... they normally want some sort of trust ... if it goes to that far extend like asking "offer proof of insurance, licences, portfolios, or a list of previous satisfied customers".... to some skillfull workers... they might be offended... as many don't bother keep track of those things... and I am sure there are good number of contractors do keep track ... but then... those details tracking contractors would probablly have a bigger stomach as they are well prepared to charge you handsomely ...
