door opening by itself

I have a door that opens to the inside of the room by itself if it is not closed completely. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem??

Thank you for your help.

That just means that it isn't hanging plumb and level.
Loosen the bottom hinge attached to the door frame and slide a flat shim(s) under it, and tighten the hinge screws back. You can use almost anything for a shim that will fit behind the hinge to hide it, from old utility knife blades (what I use) to strips of cereal box cardboard or old playing card, popsickle stick, tongue depresser, etc.
You'll probably have to experiment a bit to get it right, but once you have the door stay exactly where you leave it, then it is straight again.
Good Luck!

Might be a draft also..Quick trick.. take out a hinge pin and bend it slightly..be careful not to bend it so much that it won't go back in.I never did this so no guarantees.

It would have to be one helluva draft, as it picks up some good steam and really bangs into the cabinet behind it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you find cabinets in the kitchen open?

Ghost. Leave them alone - they don't like to be bothered.
