Do I need to tape the flanges of the corner beads?


howdy folks.. I've been reading many drywall related threads and cant seem to find the answer to this question..

Do I need to tape the flanges of the corner beads?

Do I need to tape the flanges of the corner beads?


As stated, you don't have to. It is not a general practice to do so.

However, there are some places that I choose to, when using quick set mud and mesh tape.
Example: Outside Soffit corners (Keeps the edges flatter) & Heavy traffic corners (prone to hits and bumping).
