Question

Diane needs advice on basement conversion

Hi! I live in Fontana, California and have a house in escrow in Little Rock, AR. I'm purchasing the home for my sisters to rent. The house is 3 bedroom with 1 1/2 bath. There is a large basement currently used as a workshop. It has plumbing and electrical wiring, a jacuzzi, and a lot of storage.

I want to 1) lower floor 1 foot so there is more headroom, 2) add stairs inside the house, 3) put a 1/2 bath in the space of the jacuzzi which is leaving.

Does it sound expensive? Is there a way to do this slowly over a period of time?
