Diamond shape towel ring?

papageek Member   Join Date: Mar 2010 Posts: 69	Diamond shape towel ring? We just remodeled our bathroom. The wall tile consists of multiple standard rows of tile, then a 3 inch border, then a row of tiles set in a diamond pattern, and finally a row of cap tiles. Our new cabinets are dark cherry. Our old towel ring is a lighter wood color with a diamond shaped base (the part that attaches to the wall). We’ve looked for a replacement in dark wood, but can’t find anything. Everything has either a round base or rectangular. Does anyone know where I can find a wood towel bar with a diamond base, or if there is an easy way to strip down the old bar to stain and re-varnish it?

joecaption Member   Join Date: Nov 2011 Location: Hartfield VA Posts: 18,229	Diamond shape towel ring? In most cases it's as simple as sanding off the old sealer down to bare wood, clean, apply new stain, and reseal with several coats of poly. The more coats of sealer the longer it will last.

I'd love to find the actual number of "Home Trends" but can't find that on the net either. What I really need is this in a dark wood, or unfinished.
