Could i cause myself problems?

i have a room i am renovating. Three walls are exterior walls. I have stripped the walls inside the house to the studs and found no rot. The exterior is cedar siding nailed over felt paper directly on to the studs. No sheathing or spacers of any kind. The interior used to be cedar siding with no vapor barrier. In between the walls they had stuffed in batt insulation (2x6 kind even though it is a 2x4 wall). Again, there was no rot with this setup. I want to board the interior with drywall. I will replace the fiberglass batt with roxul but am worried that i might end up encouraging rot or mold to occur. Any thoughts? This wall is above grade and i am in Vancouver BC.
