In preparing to remodel my kitchen myself I talked to friends and neighbors who had done the same thing. I asked them what the hardest part of the job was. The one common thread was the fact that putting the kitchen out of commission for a period of time put a lot of pressure on the homeowner who was doing the job. Faced with that I decided there had to be a better way so I planned out the job so that the kitchen remained usable for essentially the entire period of time. This greatly reduced the pressure and kept the rest of the family happy. I just used that as an excuse to build a fancy outdoor kitchen with electrical and running water prior to the indoor kitchen..... "Well, honey, we will need to have a place to cook while we build the kitchen of your dreams, right?"
Her response, "hmm, well, yea, I guess"......BBQ GREEN LIGHT.
