okey dokey, looking for some ideas on cold room refinishing.
In the pic below, the "cork" ceiling area is a cold room underneath the front steps. Concrete steps.
I'm located in Green Bay for climate info.
I'd like to insulate this and use as any other part of basement since its located near end of steps.
Would it be practical to frame this out ( PT for any wood touching concrete, just top and bottom) and then spray foam closed cell? finish with drywall then.
I know I have to do something with elec. I'll probaby just move the conduit out of the cold side and affix it to the "inside" part of the basement.
part of my concern is that this room seems to warm the outside stair enough to melt snow and then refreeze on the edges of the step. I'd rather just keep that step cold and shovel it.
let me know if any particular pic may help.
