Closet Maid Pantry

We just purchased the Closetmaid 4' pantry Self Track kit with four 16" shelves. Everything went find until we tried to mount the shelves (following the directions) it was impossible for us to get the shelf to lock into the bracket. However if we install the shelf upside down it works like a charm. But I don't want the lip of the shelf on top. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Closet Maid Pantry

I may not be familiar with the brand, though I have installed many shelves and standards. Install them right side up or problems could happen. If the clips have the center lock, try pushing it in gently with a screwdriver. As long as the shelves are not over-sized for the clips, it may take a sharp rap with the palm of your hand to seat it in the side clips. Hope this helps...
