We are replacing our jetted tube with a claw foot tub and would like to know what is best acrylic or cast iron and if the plumbing is going to be difficult

Cast iron would be the best--and most expensive.

The plumbing is all exposed so precise location of the rough in is critical.

The piping and decorative covers are a bit difficult and nerve wracking to install for the first time.

Do check out the costs of the tub and the faucets and drains----They were a deal breaker on one bath job----customer went with a different tub after finding out what the faucet/drain parts cost.-
