Cinder block wall hangings

I'm trying to remodel a basement that has cinder block walls into a salon. She wants to hang large, heavy (75lbs. +) mirrors and shelves from the walls. Are there cinder block wall anchors that will bear this kind of weight or will the block be destroyed?

There are a multitude of options.

I'd start with Tapcon screws. Be sure to use the recommended size of drill bit, as going too small or too large will render them less effective.

I use a small hammer drill and a masonry bit for drilling this type of hole and many times drill into the mortar between the cinder blocks.

Even if I have to drill directly into the block ,there is always a clean hole with no destruction. I use a sharp masonry bit of the size that is specified on the package of fastener and apply smooth even pressure on the drill. Even though the dust is minor, I wear a dust mask and safety glasses.
