Cement board - corners...gaps?

Simple question. I know I am supposed to tape and thinset all seams in my cement board except above the tub flange... and that I leave a gap between the panels. My question is, do I leave the cap between panels at the corners as well?

Cement board - corners...gaps?

A gap around each board to allow for any expansion. board to board; board to wall
