Can drywallers cut into existing textured ceiling?
I'd like to try to keep the existing textured ceiling in a room I am remodeling, but I need to take a wall down and move it. So the new wall would go up to the old ceiling and it would need to be drywalled. Can they cut in that corner where it all meets pretty nicely?
Textering is very technical work. There are a viarity of guns shooting gaps which you would need to consider to match the existing one. I sudgest:
1- You have a few cartboard samples at various gun gaps and try the better match.
2- Try to mix the mud at a perfect yougart texture on all samples.
Hope these tips help.
