Best way to remove window trim?
What's the best way to take off old wood window trim surrounding the exterior of a window? Pry bar? Particular size?
It is nailed to the siding (also wood) of my house...thanks
Are you trying to save the molding--or remove it for replacement?
Tools---carpenters knife to cut caulking----Strong painters tool--use as chisel and pry bar---
Cats paw-to dig out big nails...---smaller trim bar----regular flat bar--Sometimes a Sawsall to cut nails.
There you go--------Mike-----
Sorry, it's not really the "trim" holding the window in, per se...It is more just maybe about 3/4" by 3" wood painted white as more of a decorative feature around the windows...so definitely not concerned with saving it, just not wanting to do damage to the underlying siding
