Im going to change some electrical and add a washroom wich im getting permits and hiring someone, but the framing insulating and drywall and sub floor Im doing myself do I need a permit to do those? im in ontario thx
I believe you do need (and want) a permit. There will be inspectors in the house for the future work--
--If they see new work and no record of a permit--you are in trouble.
Basement permits should not be difficult to pull-----Read the code book before applying--That will head off the problem of leaving necessary items off the application.
A Canadian will be along soon enough to give you local advice.--Mike---
P.S.---Add your location to your profile--you will get local code info that way.--Good luck--
