Bathroom Reno Scheduling

Hi All,

I am about to start my renovation but there are a few things that are missing right now.

The Bathtub and the Vanity ( I know, two very important pieces ).

My dad and I cannot reschedule since the vacation time is already booked.

How do you guys suggest I go about my renovation? Do you think its possible for me to do the demolition and tile flooring before it reaches the tub?

Are there any issues leaving the tub / alcove tiling to the end of the project?

I am not too concerned with the vanity installation as it is straight forward.

Do yourself a huge favor, and come up with a different schedule that involves these as the first three steps. #1 Demo, #2, dryrot/framing repairs if needed, #3 Set, level, plumb the new tub.....
Get the tub from another source if you can, if vacation schedules and whatever other factors make it so impossible to do a different time, pick a different tub if need be.

You're right about the vanity, it can go in last right on top the new tile floor.

Thanks dsconstructs - the issue is that I already ordered it online - on the website it said 5 - 7 business days then when I ordered and called it they said 10 - 15 business days.

I mean if I can tile everything up to 1 row of tiles before the tub comes in - wouldn't that be okay though? and finish the tiling of the floor once the tub comes in?

You can do that.

You are slowing the job down and wasting a lot of time---

Do you mind telling us why you mail ordered a bath tub? Damaged tubs are legend --I have had to send back a tub or two to the supply house-----wasted a couple of hours---what if the mail order tub is flawed?
