I recently had a company called Re-Bath come in to give me an estimate. I wanted them to handle the bath-tubs in two separate bathrooms, while I would do the rest myself.
Here is what they do: They come in, take 9 different measurements of the current wrought iron bath-tubs. Take several pictures of it, then they go back to their factory match the measurements and pictures with their inventory. After which they heat a :confused:1/4 thick sheet of lustrous, impact resistant acrylic to suit the shape of the current tub . This is supposedly to ensure an air tight fit. They come back in, glue the molding to the tub, redo the fixtures and place the same material on the walls surrounding the tub.
Here's the catch though
They want me to pay $3200.00 for each bath tub. $3200 so they can glue a piece of plastic into my already existing tub. They are not removing anything.
Has anyone else had any experience with them?
