bathroom remodel advice- shower
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I am planning on updating my bathroom, Im sure I will be posting some more questions down the track, the house is on a slab, single level,

I want a walk in, completely barrier free shower with a glass panel (900mm wide) on one side and a linear drain, somthing like this -

Attachment 75745

I will be putting in some premade floor slopes to the drain, my qu is, since im not having a glass panel opposite the shower head, will water splash further than the drain? It is 1500mm long.

Thank you for any replies.

I have no idea what 1500mm is but why would you not have glass around the shower and i cant really tell where your drain is on the picture.

Hello thank you for your reply, we think it would be nicer with only one panel of glass, but if need be we can put another smaller one at the base,

the linear drain is represented by that long rectactagle along the wall,

1500 millimeters, as in 5 feet.

thank you.

1500mm is just short of 5'.

It will more than likely get wet past that point. How wet will also depend on your showerhead.

I would go with it and adjust the shower head as necessary if you get water out past 5'.

You can slope the area out past 5' as well.

What are your plans for waterproofing the slab and what are your plans for placing the slab?

Our shower is approx 3' x 4'. After I shower there is often shampoo suds fairly high up on the wall. If there wasn't a wall there I'm sure it would be past the five foot mark.
I don't think you would have a flood out that far, but I would expect some shower spray, and if you have any kind of slick floor, safety could be an issue.
