Bath Tub fix. Plastic Panel?

Hi guys I have a rental property and the tenants keep damaging it.

Anywys I'm triying to fix this for as cheap as possible

There is plastic liner surrounding the upper area of the tub, and 3 rows of tile around where the wall touches the tub.

We had to repipe their faucet on their tub. We had to remove 3 rows of tile.

We just wanted to get a peice of plastic liner to cover this exposed area. Like a plastic panel?

Would that be ok? What materials would we need to cover and waterproof this?

This pic is sidewas it has to be rotated clockwise. exposed backboard is beneath th plastic tubliner

That whole thing was done wrong.
You would be way better off taking the time to fix it right.
This time use a nail on encloshure not a cheap thin glue on one.
It's attached directly to the studs and is at least three times thicker.
That enclosure never should have been installed sitting above the tiles.
An encloshure needs to be sitting just above the lip on the back of the tub to prevent leaks.
