Basment Framing Question
Hi all,
I am new here but I do have a few questions. I'm about to start a basement project and have a guy that can frame as I have never done this before. He is asking me to get 92 5/8 2X4's and steel track for the floor. Under the Steel Track he mentioned that he would put a foam base ???. since the celings are 8 feet high why would he want to use a steel track? would the Wood Stud have too much of a gap to the ceiling? Basment Framing Question
With the studs only 92 & 5/8ths in length does in not leave a gap at the top? how would you mount the top of the stud to the top steel track?
