basement remodel

I have mildew issues and we are going to take down all ceiling tiles and drywall. Is it in my best interest to put up a plastic barrier and mildew resistant drywall before installing a dehumidifier?

You really need to check out the info at buildingscience.com. Also you need to figure out why there is so much humidity and moisture. Get a temperature and hygrometer. You can get a USB hygrometer/thermometer that you can datalog with http://www.camera2000.com/en/laptop-...me-office.html

: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
