Aluminum Siding

So my house has aluminum siding and I want make a small bath addition. I want to remove some siding from a porch and try and move it to an exterior wall for the addition. What is the best way to remove aluminum siding? From the top down? How is it installed and what holds it in place?

Aluminum Siding

Yes, top down. Held in place with nails along the top of the panel, bottom locks into top of next piece.
