adding a bedroom and a ADA Compliant bathroom

I am thinking of adding a 500 sq ft bedroom/bathroom to my grand dad's house, he is disabled so the bedroom/bathroom will be located next to the existing front room, hince pushing the front of the house out approximately 20 feet. the roof pitch will need to be adjusted. i need an approximate square footage price for this project. the project is located in california.

These types of questions are very hard to answer due to the many variations in costs of differing locals, construction details, fit and finish desired, etc.

Suggest to open discussions with a couple three local contractors to get some preliminary cost ideas.
