Wood Closet Shelving Kits ?

I'm debating building slat style 16" deep shelving for a closet reno. Doing a 66" X 84" walk in. Need at least 50 " of shleves plus hardware. Kits I've seen so far look OK but appear overly expensive at $15-$20 per running foot of pine shelving. Slat Shelves

Bud,
I can envision and plan the end product really well, but no time to build my own especially this year. Ideally I would like to build my own slats from leftover hardwood flooring.
My old Rockwell Beaver table saw needs an overhaul and I never get 2 days off work in a row but if I can find 50' - 60' of well made slat shelf with hardware I can still have it installed by Christmas. When Mrs Claus is happy, the whole house is happy....

I understand the "Mrs Clause" part but the rest of it escapes me.:)
