window trim question
I have two windows in my new bathroom that are ready to be trimmed. Dimensions are unusual. The bottom edge (sill) is 63" (5'3") from the floor. Windows are 19" high. One is 3' wide; the other is 5' wide. Both are sliders. (The room faces the front of the house. This gives lots of natural light, complete privacy, no need for curtains.)
I was planning on doing a Craftsman style trim similar to the picture in the first post:
I figured I'd make the boards a little narrower, maybe 3", to not overpower the narrow glass.
My wife mentioned doing them trimless, with sheetrock jambs and sill. (I don't think this is a great idea, especially in a bathroom.)
What do you think?
