window trim ideas, please help?

HELLO ALL,
NEED SOME TRIM ADVICE, 3 WINDOWS TOGETHER AS BELOW. I HAVE ANOTHER WINDOW THE SAME WAY. THEY ARE ALL CLOSE BETWEEN 4 3/4 TO 5 INCH INBETWEEN. THIS IS MY FIRST TRIM JOB ON MY HOUSE SO I'M NOT SURE HOW TO DO IT OR WHAT WOULD LOOK BEST. I HAVE A 3 INCH WIDTH ON THE WINDOW STOOL AT THE END OF THE SMALLER WINDOWS. I WAS THINKING: CUT A 1 X 5 PRIMMED PRIME TO WIDTH AND JUST ROUTERING THE ENDS. BUT MAYBE YOU GUYS HAVE A BETTER IDEA.
the TOP WAS GOING TO BE A CROWN MOULDING HEADER WITH A 1 X 3 REVIEAL BEFORE THE CROWN STARTS...I HOPE I'M SAYING THIS RIGHT..
THANKS AGAIN
CHIP,
BALTIMORE

just go as planned, make some custom casing out of flatstock which is the same width on the two ends then make one peice for in between windows. it will keep the look consistant, plus it makes it easier for the painter. unless your proficient at custom trim i wouldnt try to join the middle to the header with mitres, if you can get away with it use a boston header which has thicker stock up or break up the transition via bullnose molding

also.. take your caps lock off

Most often the area between the windows is done with a mullon strip.

You could trim like this window but maybe install flutes for the sides and mullions
and even run the flutes to the floor with plinths. Maybe recessed panels or raised panels
under the windows or just shadow boxes.

Tom, I would appreciate it but it isn't mine, I had it saved for showing a friend of mine how to trim a window.
