I'm seeking a distributor or retailer that carries 1 1/2" floor boards. The house is from 1940 and has thin floorboards throughout the house. I need to fill in two separate areas that are damaged: one board wide and about 8" long. I can't seem to find any floor boards less than 2" wide. Anybody know where I can find them? I finally found one company willing to send me a sample that would do the job, but I lost their website address.
i shouldn't be too hard to mill a couple of wider pcs for what you need.
just leave the tongue rip it to width and cut a rabbet on the other edge
to clear the tongue of the existing floor nail it down then fill the nail holes
The stated width of 1 1/2" is a standard flooring width you should be able to find at any flooring distributor. The ."really thin" description is unclear. Flooring has width and thickness dimensions which need to be expressed in numerical sizes.
