I like the name in those listings "Florida Southern Plywood"

What can we help you with boy?

Umm I need this molding...

Is it plywood boy?

No, sir I don't believe so...

Then (spits in cup)... we don't deal in those... we deal in plywood.

* This posting is to be considered parody, to add a bit of levity to an otherwise brutal search for moldings, I have no affiliation positive or negative with the good folks at Florida Southern Plywood.

Yow doesn't everybody.
Probably not going to happen with what you are wanting to duplicate.

Is this picture molding this taboo? I mean, come on.

What do all you finish carpenters out there use for picture molding?

This?

I'd like to do full wainscot shadow boxes, but I figure i'll tackle those in the dining room remodel along with the coffered ceiling.....

How wide is this molding? Is it from an old house? It's possible it isn't in production anymore.
It is possible to make it or have it made. It all depends on your budget.
Knives can be made with the molding profile.

House is 15 years old. I would be fine with something similar in size. 3/4" tall by 1 3/4" wide. I'm really only interested in it because it seems wider than other picture moldings I've seen.

The picture mold I posted a pic of was from our dining room and will be thrown away eventually when that room is remodeled as that molding is *above* the chair rail which we dislike.

None of these are quite there. That could be a buildup also.

Yep, it is from a screenplay that I will be writing when I finish this old house that has beaten me two days in a row.

I always finish each day by checking the score between me and the house.

For two days, I have been soundly beaten by an 80 plus year old home.

It makes me crazy.

Ok, so I just got back from a "Real" lumber yard, at least what I would call one since it was located in an area of town that was not the most economically blessed, shall we say.

"Do you have this?"

"We ain't got nothin' like that. You may be able to order something."

And then they pointed me to the exact same catalog from mouldingandmillwork.com I have referenced in this thread.

The funny thing is that this same lumber yard used to make what I need.

MU703 in this: http://www.lumberunlimited.com/pdfbi...ingCatalog.pdf

I mean SERIOUSLY, where do trim carpenters buy their moulding from around here? This is getting RIDICULOUS.
