Back to the corner trim though, has anyone ever used the PVC Corner Boards made by Versatex? Any others?

I have used the PVC. Cuts with a fine blade, and better than wood. When I trimmed out my garage door and garage window, replaced all of the wood trim with PVC. No rotting, and lasts forever.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
