water damage to wall behind oven

I had water damage from a pipe in my kitchen. I am now trying to figure out what to do about the wall behind the oven. When I put that oven out, it sits on the floor, can I remove some of the dry wall, or is that a special type of drywall due to being behind the oven?

It's just drywall. There's no special material required behind an oven.
