Want to start buying cabinets. . .

They make stains and paints by the batch load, just like wallpaper and ceramic tiles and carpet and roofing, etc, etc... You buy these things by codes on the boxes so you know you have the same color.
This is pretty universal.
I guess not so much in the plumbing field. Black pipe is black pipe.

Thanks to everyone else for getting me pointed in the right direction too. Looks like i'm ready to start demolishing sheetrock.
