I have vinyl kitchen cabinet doors, I have had these for about 10 years now and they have slowly over the years turned a little yellow. I have been told that I could remove the vinyl myself with a heat gun so that I can paint the doors a new white. Can you please tell me if this is true? I am retired and don’t have extra money to have the doors replaced. I would really appreciate any help you could give me. Thank you in advance for all your help.
There has to be a way of treating these doors with something to make them whiter. Can you try the heat gun method on the back of one of the lesser used doors?
" Can you try the heat gun method on the back of one of the lesser used doors?" your question here I don't know as it appears that the viynl appears to be only on the out side (front) part of the doors. I even called the manufactor asking for help to make them white again and all they would tell me "it is time to remodel your kitchen" not the answer I was looking for so I decided to try DIY network.
