Updating swing arbor

I have a wooden swing in my backyard hanging from an arbor. I recently power washed it (which made it look much better), but the small wooden pieces on top had mostly rotted and were falling off. I would like to make new ones, but I have no knowledge of carpentry. What sort of lumber should I buy? Should I use a jigsaw to make the curved cuts or should I try to get my hands on a band saw? I'm attaching a link to a photo. Thanks for your help!

Updating swing arbor

Would you rather make them or just buy them?
You can just take that piece to your local lumber yard. They have catalogs full of those types of trim details.
Much less expensive and safer than buying and using tools your not familiar with.
