Mountain Newbie     Join Date: Jan 2013 Location: North Idaho Posts: 13	Turned my riding mower into a lathe! I did almost the same thing with a 91 Ford car the nieghbor gave me. Except I welded two rims together and put it back on and locked up the other front tire so I would get full power from that wheel and then I ran the lathe with a belt off the extra rim. Now I have an actual wood lathe... works much better.....

Considering that on most mowers like that you can disconnect the blades....not sure what the danger is...... I think jeffnc has it nailed.......hence, I'm not impressed.
