It's not clear what you are asking. A template for what?

the template is for drilling the holes into the drawer fronts and the cabinets to have a uniform placement of the hardware.

Go to the store and buy a set----There are plastic template available (usually in the isle with the drawer pulls)--

One for the doors and another for the drawers----I'll see if I can find a picture.---Mike---

LOL this was one of the pictures from the Google search. Talk about truth in advertising, using a model with a missing fingertip. :P

Probably a real cabinet maker rather than a model. Occupational hazard.

I am sure that the store bought ones would have worked better but I made one out of a 1x2 for the fram and a peice of thin wood it was going great on the cabinets and the first row of drawers which was all uniform in size, then I came to the sink and the face plates were glued in place so I was not able to use the template that I made so then I came to the drawers on the other counter and guess what they were different sizes in width and they were longer than the first ones so my template was to small so here I was having to do it all by hand on those drawers, now I can see the humor of it and it was a good lession to learn, next time I will measure all the drawers before building a template or even better yet stop being so cheap and buy a set from the store vrs trying to re-invent the wheel... so thanks for the replys and the pic's at least I know what to look for at the store..

Moved to carpentry section. Please do not post questions in the "How to" guides section.

Thank you.
