Teak and cutting boards

When making a cutting board with end grain cutting surface, what glue/adhesive should be used. because TEAK surface is a bit more oily? will titebond hold or is there a food grade/non toxic epoxy?

You need to remove the oil first by cleaning with a solvent like turpentine or acetone. Then usually an epoxy type glue is used. I don't know if normal wood glue will hold.

epoxy

I think that normally. epoxy is toxic and would not be acceptable.
acetone leaves a residue. Lawyers thinner evaporated enough but will regular titebond lll hold real well enough glued on the long grain in a block style board.

Yes, I used it on mine and it's held up perfectly for years. :)

ONLY use MINERAL OIL after cleaning!
