T101BR up stroke blade clean cut!

I am experimenting with cutting into the sink hole on a laminate countertop I got some metal blades but they are too short. SO I used a T101BR Bosch up stroke blade and you can see it's very clean cut :) in case anyone is searching this topic

I saw this on, what else?, a DIY show. It cuts on the downstroke. Nice!

If I'm not mistaken, Bosch jigsaws cut on the downstroke, which gives a cleaner cut anyway. Once got a Makita saw which cut on the upstroke - nightmare.

The down cut T101BR is a must for cabinet installation. Items like fillers and toe kick facings can be cut accurately without sanding.

The downside to this blade is "chatter" as it tends to bounce the saw around..........especially if you hit a staple in the counter top. We have had a jigsaw bounce right out of the kerf and hop across the plastic laminate ruining the surface.

What I did was to glue a piece of smooth rubber to the jigsaw plate. This helped the chatter and also protected the finish from scratching. The saw takes a little more down pressure on whatever we were cutting.
