Installing suspended ceiling in my basement. I have very limited room (3 inches from joist) due to the height of the windows. Poor clearance but also gives me a better situatuon for the existing lights. They are your standard issue glibe type the centre of the light fixture. This has put my fixture low enough but also it light fixtures you would find in a bedroom and such. So what I have done is gotten a longer screw to go through now sits right on the main T used me wire tester and as far as I can tell nothing is live thats not supposed to be.... anyone had this before and found any problems? Just dont want to electrify my entire ceiling grid.
You have limited ceiling height but want to use a low hanging fixture like that, hmm.
No one here's going to know how you wired it without telling us so we can help you get the light working.
Thanks Tarheel. The light works fine and doesnt seem to have electrified the T so far I'll keep my eyes on it anyways.
