T&G Pine Ceilings

What is best for nailing through the tongues of the pine ceiling bards - 2 inch or 2 1/2 inch brads? ceilings are 6-12 and 10-12 respectively... Thanks!

T&G Pine Ceilings

How thick is the t&g?? If it's 1"x,you could get by with 2". If it's 2"x I'd use 2-1/2". But I wouldn't use brads. I'd use 15 ga. trim nails or better yet, crown staples.....

T&G Pine Ceilings

Thanks for your response, much appreciated; T&G is 1" and I'll upgrade my nailer to accommodate 15 ga. trim nails minimum.
