Strappout catherdral ceiling question.


Hi,

Im strapping out the cathrrdral ceiling with 1x3 under scissor trusses. Should i start at peak or sides to measure for 16" centers?

If this is strapping for drywall, usually its installed from top edge working down.

So start at the peak is what I would do

Just curious about why you would strap out the ceiling for sheet goods?

Not sheeting right away. Space for wires, Trusses arent spaced exactly....

Where I am we strap out everything.and it doesn't really matter where you start. R

I usually check overall length for division of 4', OSB at 3" wide rip doesn't sit still for long if a vehicle parks there (humidity).... install waxed side toward you.
