Steel beams/post to framing
I am building a room on to my home. I have an "I" (6x15) steel beam with steel post. What is the best way to attach the top cap to the beam? Also what is the best way to attach/go around the post that will be in the walls?

I don't follow you on the cap issue.
What cap are you putting on the steel beam? For a post, just frame up to each side of it. The sheetrock will span the post position. Ron |
