Staining Wood Fence

I recently installed a wood fence around my backyard, which I purchased at Home Depot. The fence is treated with certain chemicals that prevent the wood from deteriorating after being continiously exposed outside.

I wanted to paint the fence, however was told that regular exterior paint may not be a good option; the paint may start peeling off shortly after application, due to the chemical treatment of the wood.

Can anyone please suggest any other options? Can I use Cabot stains for this purpose?

A couple coats of exterior grade oil based primer followed by a couple coats of exterior paint should hold up just fine. Sure had for me.

yes you can use Cabot stains... or have you heard of 5-minute fence stain? and the best time to stain your fence is when no rain is forecast within 24-48 hours, this way, stain will have ample time to dry.
