Default Squeaky Laminate Floor

About to sell a house. Floor is squeaky right in front of the fridge, probably because it's a high traffic area. I have access from the basement since it's unfinished. I think the squeak is from the plywood not being probably secured onto the OSB. OSB is 23/32 thick. Plywood is probalby a 1/4 thick. Will probably drive screws from bottom to try to secure down the plywood. Any more ideas?

That's may stop the squeak, I would suggest that there be some weight on the area to push it downward... when you set the screws from underneath.
Obviously, be careful with those screws...

Good point. Thanks. What length would you use for the screws?

Try to figure out the thickess of your floor sheathing (usual thickness is 3/4"). Then add the thickness of the 1/4" plywood you said is on top of that.
So for example: let's say it is 1" total thickness Use a 7/8" length screw...

I checked last night, and I think the sheating is 23/32 (.7188). I'm assuming the plywood is 1/4 (.25) which makes .9688 total. 7/8 should work.
