Springs have lost their spring.

I have two rocker recliners that have the springs so streached that they threaten to go over backward when I sit in them. Yes, I am a big boy, 275, and I wonder if I could shorten or rewind the springs someway to re spring them?

Shortening the springs won't be a good option I don't think...Spring steel doesn't cooperate very well. Why not contact the manufacturer and have them send you some replacements.
