Soffitt slopes toward wall

After careful measuring, I somehow managed to put together a soffit that slopes the outside edge of the soffit to the wall. It's level from end to end but is one-half inch higher at the wall on one end and about one-fourth higher at the other end. I haven't taped it yet or put any mud on it so I'm wondering if there were any simpler solutions than taking it all apart.

I forgot to say that this whole section is just under 5 1/2 feet long.
Would building it up with mud to even it out be too crazy?

It all depends on your taping skills. I would remove it and straighten it out. Snap guide lines on the wall so you know where to line up the wood.

it would be a pain

It would be such a pain though....

1/2 " and 1/4" to me is really small

the key is can you feel the unlevel/unbalance visually, if not, I say just forget about it and get on... if you can feel it visually obviously.... then yes, the only option is take it down and rebuild the soffet.
