I'm in the process of building a Hip roof for a 10 X12 Storage Shed.
I have my rafters up and ridge erected and the hips are in. I finished framing one side of the Jacks, They came out fine! I have now started on the other side. My question is I'm not arriving at the right slope angle at the hip. I'm in the process of installing Jack rafters. My pitch is 4/12 w/ 18 deg. slope. My cuts are not working out now.
I think I am cutting the wrong way, on my jack rafter? can someone that has built a hip roof help me out of my delima?

Reason: add to the subject: Having trouble with Hip/slope angles!
could you post a pitcher of the roof and jack rafters. what does not match up. your cheek cuts? the plum cuts on the jacks should be 18.43 degrees ( or 18-1/2 ) when the jack rafter is in place does the fascia cut lay plumb or does it tilt up. What does not line up?? did you drop your hip at the wall?. Post a picture. BOB
