Rubber Sanding Blocks

Hello,

I'm writing to enquire if there is any interest in a new design of rubber sanding block that would include:

Tack (nail)-free holding of sand paper that ensures a constant snug fit
Improved ergonomics for better grip and modulated pressure application to work

I have a prototype product and trying to get feedback to gauge dissatisfaction for existing sanding blocks and enthusiasm for new designs.

Thank you,

Pirahna

Rubber Sanding Blocks

I guess it sounds interesting. I don't use traditional sanding blocks that much since the integrated 3M abrasive sponge things are so cheap and my power contour sanders can be shaped to just about anything.

Rubber Sanding Blocks

Here is a new design from Festool that comes in a cool green box.

The sanding blocks that use 3x21 sanding belts are handy for coarse to medium sanding by switching grit size belts. The simplest ones are just made from a block of scrap wood but commercial versions have more edge profiles.

There are some really cheap sanding blocks that work OK

And then sponge sanding blocks are getting cheaper

Good luck on your endeavor. We need more made in the USA products.
