Rough Opening

Im planning on installing a 24" shower door in a yet to be framed shower. I am just unsure on how big the rough opening should be if i'm planning on installing durarock and tile to the opening before i install the door. Any help would be appreciated.

22-0" to 22-1/2":) Depends on what tile you are using.

All shower doors have a variable for installation, all you have to do is be close.:)

There are usually rough opening dimensions on the door box.

Add an 1-3/4" if you want a 24" door opening. Two layers 1/2" durock and two layers 3/8" thick tile is 1-3/4".
